Wine Expo 2005 Inauguration
Hacienda de los Miranda
November 22, 2005
Ladies and Gentlemen
It is a great honor for me to participate today in the inauguration of “Wine Expo 2005” here in Hacienda de los Miranda.
This is the first wine exposition organized by the Distributors Association of
El Salvador (ADES) and one in which customers can enjoy a wide variety of excellent ones, including some from the United States.
The wine industry in the U.S. has grown enormously in quality and sophistication in recent years, producing not only some of the finest wines in the world but also affordable wines for everyday use. In this wine exposition, we are proud to offer you high quality products at competitive prices.
“Wine Expo 2005” brings new U.S. wines to the Salvadoran market, like those from Delicato Family Vineyards, whose Vice President for Overseas Sales is with us this evening. We also have wines from five other U.S. vineyards. I hope you will enjoy sampling something from each of them.
I am especially pleased by the introduction of new wines to the Salvadoran market since in my own home I try to showcase American wines. I am always looking for something new and good.
This trade fair brings together the important food and beverage sector, including hotels, restaurants, supermarkets and food processors who will be able not only to enjoy the new wines being introduced into the market but also receive specialized courses in wine appreciation.
I’d like to thank ADES for its enthusiasm and dedication in making “Wine Expo 2005” possible. I’d also like to salute the efforts of the wine importers who are participating in the event this evening.
Thank you very much. I invite you all to enjoy the exposition.
