US Delegation to Saca Inaugural

The White House has announced that U.S. Secretary of Commerce
Don Evans will head the official U.S. delegation to the inauguration
on June 1 of Elias Antonio Saca as the new president of El
Salvador.
Other members of the U.S. delegation to the Salvadoran presidential
inauguration include U.S. Ambassador to El Salvador H. Douglas
Barclay; Colorado Lt. Governor Jane Norton; Director of the
Bureau of Citizen and Immigration Services of the Department
of Homeland Security Eduardo Aguirre; President Bush's Special
Envoy for Western Hemisphere Affairs on the National Security
Council Otton Reich; President of Mothers Against Repression
Sylvia Iriondo, and Associate Professor of Law at Catholic
University Dr. Helen Alvare. Also participating in the inaugural
events, which will be held at the Feria International in
the capital city of San Salvador, are Governor Jeb Bush of
Florida and Governor Sonny Perdue of Georgia.
The official
U.S. delegation will present its credentials to outgoing
Salvadoran president, Francisco Flores, on the night before
the inaugural.
That presentation will be followed by a
reception for the delegation and invited guests offered
by Ambassador
Barclay at his Residence. Anyone who wishes to watch
