On December 21, a group of Embassy women and their children, including Mrs. Dee Dee Barclay, wife of U.S. Ambassador H. Douglas Barclay, delivered toys and non-perishable food products to a community childcare and adult vocational training center run by an order of Catholic nuns in the community of El Cedro in the town of Panchimalco, located about 45 minutes south of San Salvador.
