24th Street Theatre Presents Children’s Play in El Salvador

US Embassy is co-sponsoring performances of “El Jardín de los Reyes” (The Garden of the Kings) by The Apolo Theatre Company

On September 13, the US Embassy and Teatro Poma launched the 9th theater season. The season opens with the children’s play “El Jardín de los Reyes” by Teatro Apolo, the resident company of Los Angeles, California’s 24th Street Theatre.

The Teatro Apolo Company will offer six performances in El Salvador, including one in an orphanage, thanks in part to a grant from the US Embassy.  In addition, they will teach workshops and theater games to students from the National Arts Center (CENAR), the binational center (Centro Cultural Salvadoreño Americano), Universidad Don Bosco, and schools in Soyapango.
