Embassy Supports Wine Expo in El Salvador

For the third consecutive year, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) representation in El Salvador supported the Expo Vino event showcasing the US-produced wines that are available in the Salvadoran market.

Expo Vino was created three years ago by the Salvadoran Distributors Association to present to consumers and representatives from the restaurant, gourmet imports and hotel industries the new wine products that are being imported into El Salvador.

The Expo features wine tasting sessions, and chefs and other specialists give courses on wine and on how to better combine wine and food.

“Expo Vino serves the purpose of exposing wine consumers to new products, and of supporting the importers of these new products. Through this event, we will be able to acquaint ourselves with a wide variety of excellent wines, including wines from the United States”, said Michael Butler at the inauguration.
