The attendees were Salvadoran nominees for the different Fulbright programs including Faculty Development and the Hubert Humphrey Fellowship.  U.S. Fulbright students and scholars who are currently researching or teaching in El Salvador were invited as well.  Members of the Fulbright Alumni Association in El Salvador were also on hand to talk about the organization and activities.

Established in 1946, the Fulbright Program aims to increase mutual understanding between the peoples of the United States and other countries, through the exchange of persons, knowledge, and skills.  Is the largest U.S. international exchange program offering opportunities for students, scholars, and professionals to undertake international graduate study, advanced research, university teaching, and teaching in elementary and secondary schools worldwide.
