The US Military Group coordinated with the Salvadoran ministries of Defense and Education for the construction of two schools in the Department of Morazán--specifically in the Divisadero and Jocoro communities.
The school construction project sponsored with SOUTHCOM Humanitarian Assistance Program (HAP) funding is being supervised by the US Army Corps of Engineers and is scheduled to be completed by mid-March at Divisadero and April at Jocoro.
The Divisadero school will benefit approximately 200 elementary school students and the Jocoro school will benefit approximately 150 students of multiple grade levels.
